Gwen Dungy, Executive Director
NASPA - Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education
An accomplished speaker, leader, and educator, Gwendolyn Jordan Dungy has been executive director of NASPA since 1995. In her capacity as a national advocate for students and the primary spokesperson for student affairs administrators and practitioners, she draws on more than 30 years of experience in higher education.
Before joining NASPA, Dr. Dungy was associate director of the Curriculum and Faculty Development Network and coordinator of the National Diversity Network at the Association of American Colleges & Universities. Previously, she was a senior administrator at the County College of Morris (NJ), Montgomery College (MD), and Catonsville Community College (MD), and a member of the faculty at St. Louis Community College (MO).
The author of numerous articles in higher education journals and magazines, Dr. Dungy also has contributed to several books. She consults regularly for colleges, universities, corporations, and government agencies on strategic planning and leadership and has given frequent presentations at national association meetings, institutes, conferences, and professional development events.
A licensed psychologist and a nationally certified professional counselor and career counselor, Dr. Dungy earned B.S. and M.S. degrees from Eastern Illinois University, an M.A. degree from Drew University in New Jersey, and a Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis.
Sallie Traxler, Executive Director
ACUHO-I - Association of College & University Housing Officers - International
Sallie Traxler has long been active in national and international association management since 1993. ACUHO-I's Executive Director since August 2004, she oversees the association's central office and works closely with the Executive Board to fulfill the strategic plan and serve the needs of association members.
Previously, Sallie served as the Executive Director of the Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) and as Director of Development and Strategic Alliances for the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA).
She received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Morehead State University in Kentucky where she graduated with honors.
Alan B. Davis, Executive Director
NACA - National Association for Campus Activities
Alan B. Davis has served as Executive Director of the National Association for Campus Activities since 1996. As Executive Director, he is responsible for working with Association volunteer leaders and members in the implementation of the Association's strategic plan, and in managing the NACA Office. Davis devotes considerable time to the expansion and refinement of NACA's relationships with the higher education and entertainment environments.
Prior to joining NACA, Davis was Associate Vice President for Campus Services at Tulane University (LA). Davis has been involved in several national and local organizations, including the South Carolina Society of Association Executives, the National Association of College Auxiliary Services and the Columbia Council for Internationals.
Davis holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree from Stetson University (FL), and attended the Management Development Program of the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
Billye Potts - Executive Director
ASJA - Association for Student Judicial Affairs
Billye Potts has served as the Executive Director for ASJA since September 2005. She works closely with the volunteer leadership to achieve the Association goals in areas of adoption, renewal and setting of ASJA standards, initiatives in research and publications, membership recruitment and retention efforts, peer networking, and member education. The Executive Director also oversees the operation of the ASJA Central Office and supervises the staff.
Prior to coming to ASJA Billye worked in student affairs for over 17 years. She was employed by Tulane University, University of New Orleans, Lamar University, and the University of Houston-Clear Lake. During her career in student affairs she served as the Chair of the Board for the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) from 2001-2002.
Billye has a Bachelor of Science in secondary education and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling both from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
