Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors joins five other student affairs associations in job placement service
The Placement Exchange is pleased to announce that the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA) has joined its list of supporting partner associations.
The Placement Exchange strives to be the definitive resource for the student affairs job placement process. With dynamic, online information, as well as powerful networking opportunities and a first-class job placement event, The Placement Exchange is dedicated to helping candidates find that perfect job, and helping institutions find that perfect hire.
The Placement Exchange started in 2006 as a joint venture between NASPA - Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and the Association of College & University Housing Officers - International (ACUHO-I). Other supporting partners include the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA), the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA), the National Orientation Directors Association (NODA) and HigherEdJobs.com.
"The job placement process is an important part of our members' career progression," said Linda Wardhammar, the AFA executive director. "We continually look to improve the services we provide our members. By partnering with The Placement Exchange, we feel we have done just that."
"We are excited to welcome AFA to The Placement Exchange as we continue to build the premiere student affairs job placement service," said Kevin Kruger, NASPA's associate executive director.
Registration for The Placement Exchange's 2010 placement event (March 3-7, 2010 in Chicago) opens October 1. At the 2009 event in Seattle, more than 5,000 interviews were held with almost 750 registered candidates, and those numbers are expected to increase this year.
