TPE Onsite 2016 event participants looking for accommodations beyond Downtown Indianapolis will find a number of properties around the city at a variety of price points—and most are within a 15- to 20-minute drive of the Indianapolis Convention Center. Visitors seek out Indianapolis’ perimeter suburbs for outstanding shopping, dining, and entertainment options that are easily accessible from its recently refurbished freeway network. That means, traveling to the heart of the city from all directions is more efficient than ever before.

Here is some brief geographic information to help you explore what’s available:

NORTH INDIANAPOLIS

The Castleton, Keystone, Noblesville, Fishers, and Carmel neighborhoods occupy Indianapolis’ northernmost edge between Interstates 65 and 69. Anchored by two major premiere shopping centers—The Fashion Mall at Keystone and Castleton Square Mall—the surrounding area boasts nearly 40 diverse hotel properties, dozens of local and chain restaurants to suit every budget, and a wide range of personal and professional services.

Hotels to check out: Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel at Keystone Crossing, Embassy Suites Indianapolis North, Indianapolis Marriott North, Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Northwest, Hampton Inn Northwest Park 100.

SOUTHWEST INDIANAPOLIS

Just twelve miles from Downtown, the region surrounding the newly-constructed Indianapolis International Airport—including the Plainfield and Six Points areas—continues to grow with new amenities. About a dozen hotel properties are available within an arm’s reach of Interstate 70, and a few minutes’ drive to The Shops at Perry Crossing, an outdoor shopping center that features over 50 retail stores and services that completed an $11 million renovation this past October.

Hotels to check out: Radisson Hotel Indianapolis Airport, Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport, Cambria Suites Indianapolis Airport, Homewood Suites by Hilton Airport.

EAST INDIANAPOLIS

Fifteen minutes to the east of Downtown Indianapolis, the suburbs of Lawrence and Warren Park are conveniently located at the junction of Interstates 70 and 465. Several smaller hotel properties and familiar restaurant and retail chains are nearby.
