The Assistant Dean and Director of Student Services will be primarily responsible for academic administration. The Assistant Dean will interpret and enforce academic standards of five ABET-accredited engineering degree programs, three interdisciplinary engineering programs and Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science and Computer Science programs; overseeing office responsibilities related to following: trial and dismissal process as ex-officio of CEMS Studies Committee. The Assistant Dean will provide expertise to faculty and staff on University policies and procedures, coordinating and overseeing yearly catalog revisions and updates. The Assistant Dean is responsible for gathering, analyzing and interpreting data from student records, surveys and institutional data to anticipate resource needs, evaluate program effectiveness, successes and challenges. In cooperation with the Directors of Curricular Enrichment and Department Chair the Assistant Dean will coordinate the schedule of courses for CEMS; assessing ongoing enrollment trends to anticipate individual course needs and approving and processing requests for schedule and room changes.
