Assistant Dean

Southern Illinois University Carbondale

 

Southern Illinois University Carbondale invites applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Dean of Students.

 

The Position:  This position is critical in support of the Dean of Students and in collaboration with other Assistant Deans within the Dean of Students area, shares management of the day-to-day operation of the division as necessary to support the educational, social, cultural, and developmental needs of the student body. Administration of Student Ombudsperson and University Respondent, and will supervise Greek Life programs and other units as assigned.


Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements: Master's degree in Education, Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Student Development, Speech Communication or related fields required. Three (3) years of experience in student development or student services. Prior experience mentoring, advising and helping students. Experience working directly with Greek Life is preferred.
