Position Description

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Civic and Community Engagement (CCE), this position serves as a member of the CCE professional staff asked to assist in developing strategies and initiatives to accomplish identified outcomes with colleagues and senior leadership. Serves to inform the CCE's strategic visioning and programing which supports the achievement of the CCE's mission. Works with the team to develop measurable objectives to achieve goals.


Job Requirements

Develops and maintains systems to effectively deliver programs and services, while considering and leading innovations and improvements in programming. Maintains and develops strong relationships and open communications with all stakeholders; supports stakeholders through site visits, email, phone, and other communications. Assists with developing and circulating online resources and materials. Keeps apprised of best practices in the field (e.g. student affairs, student-development, civic and community engagement, assessment, online platforms, and leadership development) and technological innovations as related to the position, and makes recommendations on process improvements.

Assists in implementing annual program benchmarks. Attends various departmental and other University-related meetings and events. Collects, organizes, manages, and maintains program-related information and data. Maintains assessment systems to measure program work in all areas. Develops systems and maintains the CCE website and social media presence. Produces a regular newsletter and completes monthly program highlights. Assists with creating promotional materials and impact/program reports, as needed.

Develops and maintains all of CCE's podcasts, webinars, photos, and online programming. Develops and implements programming for the Civic Engagement and Digital Argumentation Lab (CEDA). Assists in identifying, onboarding, training, and supervising student staff, as necessary. Assists with grant, development, and alumni outreach opportunities, as needed. Represents Emory, Campus Life, and CCE in various campus, community, state, and national settings. Performs related responsibilities as required.
