The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Assistant Director for Off-Campus and Hall Transitions.

The Office of Residential Life is looking for the right person to complement the servant leaders dedicated to our mission of helping young people prepare to be change agents and leaders in their neighborhoods, their communities, and the world.
The position of Assistant Director for Off-Campus and Hall Transitions combines elements of student programming and formation often found in Student Affairs work with the logistical coordination and supervision of moving over 6,300 students in and out of our residence halls each fall, spring, and summer. This multifaceted position calls upon and hones leadership skills such as visioning, planning, strong communication, reporting, facilitation, relationship building, and supervision across a breadth of areas that will help a candidate become a stronger leader and equip them for greater responsibilities in the future.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
- The strategic planning and execution of the University's move-in and move-out processes for Fall and semesters, overseeing cross-campus committees and coordinating with Welcome Weekend, Parking Services, Campus Safety, Ushers, Notre Dame International, Athletics and other partners.
- Providing support for current and prospective Notre Dame undergraduate and graduate students living off-campus, and overseeing the offcampus.nd.edu website, including the management of University relationships with landlords and local officials.
- Coordinates outreach services, programming, and resource fairs for off-campus students and serves as a conduct officer for initial cases involving off-campus students.
- Serving on the on-call rotation within Residential Life for occasional resident room/apartment searches (drugs, weapons, etc.), housing displacement emergencies, and providing support for families of students in crisis.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications for the position include:
- A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years work experience; or an advanced certification beyond the bachelor’s degree with 3-4 years of experience.
- Knowledge of logistics and operations; or extensive experience in process planning and execution
- Good communication and presentation skills
- The capacity to think strategically and operate independently using a high level of discretion
- Strong counseling and listening skills; experience in conflict resolution and crisis intervention

Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will possess:
- A Master’s degree and 3-4 years of work experience
- A background in higher education student development or counseling
- Substantial customer service experience
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or another continuous improvement certification
