Position Status: Full-Time

Position Summary:
Fraternity & Sorority Life. Reporting to the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, the Assistant Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life serves a vital role providing support and educational opportunities to the fraternity and sorority community.

Essential Functions

  • Advises, coordinates, and promotes social fraternities and sororities and related programs, and creates and implements programming to support academic and leadership development.
  • Assists in providing guidance and assistance in long-range strategic planning and implementation for the University's diverse and dynamic fraternity and sorority community.
  • Provides oversight for administrative functions of the department, ensuring the area remains well organized and responsive to student and community needs.
  • Assists with the supervision of graduate students.
  • Serves as the primary advisor for one or more governing councils.
  • Plans and executes PanHellenic Primary Recruitment, and develops and coordinates communication for fraternity and sorority programs.

    Master’s Degree

    Three or more years of related work experience

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

    Preferred Education:
    Master’s Degree in Higher Education

    Preferred Experience::
    Three or more years of related work experience with fraternity and sorority organizations

    Salary Range: Up to a budgeted maximum of $47,749
