Position Description

The Associate Dean of Students and Director of Student Life and Learning (SLL) creates conditions, which foster student learning through experiences and promotes the values of civility, leadership, citizenship, and inclusion at both the campus, divisional and departmental level. This position focuses on campus-wide leadership programming, oversight of student organizations, related community engagement services, and creating a safe and positive sorority/fraternity community. Responsible for co-curricular student involvement and engagement experiences which enhance learning and promotes retention. The position provides both divisional and departmental leadership. Serves as part of the divisional leadership team, as a representative of the division on campus-wide committees, as well as inter-divisional committees, taskforces, and other responsibilities. Reports to the Vice Provost of Student Affairs, Division of Student Affairs.


Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field, eight years of experience working with fraternities and sororities, student organizations, and student leadership in a college or university environment preferably at large public universities, and three years of supervisory experience of full-time staff.
