Position Description

The Associate Director for Inclusive Excellence, under the direction of the Director of Residence Life, leads the development, implementation, advancement and measurement of a strategic and integrated approach to diversity and inclusive excellence in all aspects of Residence Life. This role provides strategic direction over the residence life diversity and inclusion plan and leads the integration and implementation of Student Life and university-wide diversity and inclusion values into the fabric of Residence Life.


Job Requirements

Required: Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or Student Personnel Administration or related field; experience supervising full-time staff; six years post-Masters professional experience with two years of professional residence life experience; experience teaching undergraduate classes in a collegiate or university setting; demonstrated experience designing, conducting and assessing diversity and inclusion education for students and staff; demonstrated history of success working both independently and as part of a diverse team; demonstrated strong facilitation and presentation skills; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; demonstrated experience in programmatic assessment and budgeting.

Desired: Experience conducting intergroup dialogues; knowledge and practice of implementing an inclusive framework within and organization; experience in electronic timekeeping systems.
