The Associate Director position is integral to the overall program delivery of the Office of Student Organizations and Activities in its consistent and innovative delivery of a comprehensive co-curricular program. We are searching for an innovative individual to assist in the development and delivery of a comprehensive leadership education and service directed programs, including curricular and co-curricular initiatives.
This position is responsible for leading the team that coordinates campus-wide leadership and service-based programs, including, but not limited to, the Center for Community Outreach, university-wide programs focused on service immersion programs (local, regional, national, international), and major student-led, faculty, staff and community-based partnership programs. This will involve collaboration with campus stakeholders to lead in the development of initiatives (curricular and co-curricular) related to service and outreach including, but not limited to, living learning programs, service leadership courses, and referrals related to student leadership competency development and training. This position will also lead and support the professional staff who coordinate major leadership initiatives on campus, specifically related to strategic development and expansion of student leadership standards and competencies that complement the active student leadership experience and contribute to a sense of belonging.
Minimum qualifications are a Masters degree and five (5) years of related experience. Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the delivery of leadership education and service-focused programs related curricular and co-curricular programming in a Student Affairs environment is essential. Ability to plan, organize and execute programs through advising student led initiatives is critical. Collaborative partnership development and the ability to build relationships with broad networks of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members is expected. Excellent public speaking, written, and interpersonal communication skills are key.
