Job Description -
Under broad direction of the VP for Student Engagement & Programs, provides leadership and management of the Office of the Dean of Students, Student Center, Student Activity Fee Committee, Judicial Affairs, Programs and Student Life, Student Media, and Student Assistance. In addition, this position is responsible for providing direction and compliance with federal and state regulations, including Title IX, and special initiatives related to student wellbeing.
Serves as chief student conduct/judicial affairs officer for the University. Reviews, updates and implements the Student Code of Conduct in collaboration with appropriate faculty, staff, and students.
Develops policies and procedures which apply to programs and services to students; engages in strategic planning that supports an environment of leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility. Utilizes ongoing assessment plans and data results to create, enhance and modify programming to fit the needs of the student body. Oversee budgets in excess of $6M.
Collaborates with the Vice President for Student Engagement & Programs on university planning and policy-making committees, works closely with the Vice President and the Senior Vice President for Student Success to set goals and objectives that support the University strategic plan. Represents the Vice President for Student Programs and Engagement as appropriate.
Chairs Student Activity Fee Committee and serves on appropriate committees as designated by the Vice President for Student Engagement.
Develops and sustains a structured plan and process for student crisis response and management, to include a communication plan for students, parents, faculty, staff, and administrators. Serves on the University's Emergency Response Team and provides 24-hour on-call response for emergencies and crisis situations. Meets and extends comfort and information to parents and families of students who have experienced a serious incident.
Prepares and manages annual budgets including reviewing and approving Programs expenditures, establishing and monitoring annual revenue projections and developing relevant programmatic funding proposals.
Master's degree and seven years of related experience in a higher education institution.
