Position Description

Job Summary: The Campus Community Engagement Coordinator will work to engage the broad SLCC Community, including staff, faculty, students, and administrators, in reciprocal community engagement. CCE Coordinator will be responsible for supporting SLCC’s Community Engagement Leave Benefit (CELB), Alternative Spring Break (ASB), Alternative Fall Break, and other reciprocally based immersive service experiences. This will include organizing one-time service projects, connecting students and employees to community partner opportunities, and overseeing Alternative Break Programming; including local fall break projects in the Salt Lake Valley and a variety of spring break trips across the United States.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as education, social sciences, or humanities
  • Two to four years of direct, full-time, paid experience in service-learning programming, civic engagement, community organizing, and/or volunteer management
  • Direct experience with collegiate community engagement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience coordinating collegiate Alternative Break programs and/or similar educational immersion experiences
  • Direct experience with employee engagement programming
  • Direct experience working in nonprofit community organizations
