Position Description

Cocurricular Programs Coordinator 4 (Assistant Director Fraternity and Sorority Life)

Reporting to the Associate Director of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, the Assistant Director works closely with the fraternity and sorority community, including active members, chapter advisers, alumni and national headquarters to create a collaborative environment which fosters success of students involved in fraternity and sorority life as well as positive chapter outcomes. The Assistant Director advises the council leadership (Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association, National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Multicultural Greek Council) and works closely with a group of fraternity presidents, executive board members and committee chairs to support their chapters' success in upholding and achieving individual chapter goals and responsibilities as well as those of the University. The Assistant Director will collaborate with other members of Fraternity & Sorority Life, Fraternity & Sorority Compliance, and Student Affairs to promote leadership development, philanthropic and community service experiences for fraternity and sorority students, and will respond to risk issues involving members. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Outstanding communication and organizational skills, experience working with fraternities and sororities, and membership in or significant experience with a Greek-letter social organization are highly desired.
