Position Description

Reporting to the Director of Community Standards and Conduct, the Conduct Specialist provides support to the overall advancement of the student conduct administration. This position will serve as a conduct administrator that will investigate, adjudicate and resolve misconduct and academic dishonesty cases. The Conduct Specialist will also be a member of the Behavior Assessment and Intervention Team (BAIT) and meet with students and make campus referrals; facilitate educational workshops, training and outreach sessions for faculty, staff, students and the Discipline Committee; help develop office marketing and branding; assist with keeping the Student Code of Conduct up to date; and maintain confidentiality as required.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and previous paraprofessional, graduate or professional work experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Detail oriented, including data management and quality control concepts
• Ability to work collaboratively or independently, while exercising discretion and judgment.
• Display professional demeanor and office appearance
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively with students, faculty/staff and other constituencies
• Ability to process large amounts of data through a management information system in an organized and orderly fashion
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in related field
• Knowledge, skills and experience working with college students in the college or university environment
• Experience with Maxient software system
• Experience developing and facilitating training sessions and workshops
• Experience as a University conduct officer
• 1+ years’ experience working in university student affairs, preferably in student conduct and/or residence life
