Position Description

The Coordinator of Student Organization Engagement will provide support for the Division of Student Affairs and Student Life specifically supporting late night, weekend and student organization programs. 

Reporting to the Associate Director of Student life the incumbent will work within the Division of Student Affairs and Student Life specifically to support late night, weekend  and student organization programs. This position requires an understanding of student development theory and involves assisting students with programmatic efforts, advising student organizations and delicately balancing role modeling and structure with empowering student leaders. The coordinator is responsible for the oversight and evaluation of late night, weekend and student organization programs.  The incumbent works collaboratively with students, faculty and staff to offer a vibrant campus life.


Job Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in higher education or related field. Night and weekend availability is a requirement for this position.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • One year experience in higher education/student life related area
  • Strong knowledge and experience with student activities/event planning
  • Displayed knowledge of college student development principles
  • Demonstrated commitment to meeting the needs of diverse student populations and student organizations
  • Ability to interact effectively with broad campus constituents and partners
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfort with high-paced, dynamic work environment and strong team player mentality

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position is full-time and includes a generous University benefits package.
