Position Description

Job Summary: Provide leadership for all aspects of Academic Advising to promote student growth and development and to assist students in the development of meaningful educational goals and plans. Develop and continuously improve programs and services in response to the changing needs of students and the evolving institutional priorities. Oversee a professional staff of approximately three Assistant Directors, 30 full-time and 8 part-time advisors, receptionists, student staff, marketing and technology professionals, an Administrative Assistant, and support staff to ensure delivery of quality advising and career services in a multi-campus setting. This position is at-will.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree required with emphasis in educational psychology, education, educational leadership, student personnel administration, counseling, or closely related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years as a full-time Assistant Director, Associate Director, or Director in Academic Advising at a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • Experience in supervision and management, academic advising, and current issues in higher education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a community college setting
  • Experience working with underserved students at a post-secondary level
