Position Description


The Director of Diversity and Inclusion oversees and coordinates diversity initiatives for faculty, students, and staff in the College of Health and Human Sciences. Duties include development, implementation and assessment of programs to recruit, retain and support faculty, students and staff from underrepresented groups. The Director will be expected to coordinate, collaborate, and communicate effectively on issues related to diversity with both internal and external constituencies.

Qualifications

 Required:

Master's degree in Psychology, Women's Studies, Multicultural Studies, knowledge of Higher Education, or closely related field required
Two (2) years of experience in the development, implementation, and assessment of programs and initiatives for students or faculty recruitment, retention or success
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with diverse audiences within and external to the University
Experience with developing and delivering training programs
Demonstrated capability to manage and execute projects and goals individually and as a supervisor
Proven analytical skills and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel programs
A valid US or Canadian driver's license

Preferred:

Understanding of the health and human science curricula and familiarity with research on issues related to diversity in the health and human sciences
University experience
