Position Description

As the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life, you will oversee the undergraduate fraternity and sorority community.  You will train and advise organization leaders in compliance with national standards of best practice.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Works collaboratively with the Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life to train and advise student organizations with a focus on the College's mission and in compliance with standards from their national headquarters and governance groups.
  • Trains and advises chapter advisors and alumni affiliates to support them in keeping up with national standards and practices and campus protocol.
  • Works closely with the national headquarters of individual organizations.
  • Collaborates with campus partners from Housing, Facilities & Operations, Student Wellness, Student Leadership & Engagement, College Houses, Dean of Students Office, Public Safety and others to provide support for student groups and residences.
  • Completes administrative and budgetary oversight for department and individual chapters. Maintains website for department. Manages third-party security for fraternity and sorority social events.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in College student affairs and Fraternity/Sorority management
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required
  • The ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.

Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of reference checks, a criminal background verification, Pennsylvania ACT 153 background clearances, and verification of credentials.  The College will coordinate these verifications.
