Position Description

Job Summary
Responsible for the coordination and administration of the College Student Code of Conduct under the supervision of the Dean of Student Affairs, Judicial Affairs and Wellness.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Personnel, Human Relations, Counseling or related field.

Five years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Working knowledge of applicable law and compliance areas related to student affairs, including the Family Education rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Clery Act, and Title IX.

 Experience with database systems for managing student conduct and students of concern.

Demonstrated understanding of student development theories, their application to students at an urban community college, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Experience in setting priorities, delegating, and coordinating complex tasks with attention to divisional and institution goals, conflict resolution, and assessment and strategic planning.

Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; excellent communication skills demonstrated by the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of diverse stakeholders.

Planning, organizing and effective time management skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives, anticipate and solve problems, and create college wide partnerships.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Maxient or similar student conduct software.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of student conduct and the ability to utilize these concepts in a college student conduct system.
