Position Description

Director, Waldron Campus Center and Extended Operations

Gannon University, a vibrant Catholic institution committed to excellence through inclusiveness, invites applications for Director, Waldron Campus Center and Extended Operations. This position is responsible for providing innovative and visionary leadership, direction, and oversight for a comprehensive student union, community campus center and student involvement program which actively engages students and community members to deliver high quality customer service. In addition, this role will Integrate and coordinate actions and initiatives with other departments to maximize quality and effectiveness of services delivered to an increasingly global student population, the Gannon Community, Diocese of Erie, and local community. 

Qualifications include a master’s degree in Student Personnel Administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a related field is preferred .  Experience: A minimum of five years of progressive experience in student union operations, student affairs, and/or facilities and operations management or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a related field is required.  Skills:  Must have the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions; the ability to write manuals and critiques; the ability to oversee and monitor expenditures of budgeted funds; the ability to speak effectively and persuasively; the ability to negotiate and exchange ideas, information, and opinions; the ability to manage conflict; must be conversant in reservation and Engage U software; must be knowledgeable and keep abreast of changing local, state and federal mandates ( e.g., FERPA and Title IX).  Licenses or Certifications:  Valid PA driver’s license preferred.  University Mission:  Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission.

Selected Ambassadors work with The Placement Exchange in a variety of ways. Primarily, Ambassadors serve on campuses as the main communication conduit to their peers and faculty. They are given the most up-to-date information about all of the resources available within Student Affairs through The Placement Exchange and our sponsoring associations (ACUHO-I and NASPA) in order to convey important information to their peers and other prospective candidates on campus.
