Position Description

Assignment in Financial Aid - Responsibilities will include answering financial aid related questions face to face, telephone or email.  The position will be assisting students in completing the FAFSA, review student paperwork for accuracy and completeness, and assisting with other related projects.  Due to the nature of the position, you must be able to exercise extreme diligence with confidential information and must comply with all regulations under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

 

Assignment in Leadership Development - Responsibilities will include coordinating, implementing, and expanding the leadership development curriculum through the Office of Fraternity/Sorority Life & Leadership.  The GA will assist the coordinator in all efforts related to Leadership Development programming, including but not limited to: coordinating facilitators for the Introductory Leadership Certificate; arranging workshops; compiling and analyzing assessment data for leadership programming.

 

Assignment in Enrollment/Admissions - Responsibilities will include overseeing the campus tour experience for all prospective students, their families, and special group visits.  The GA will collaborate with a full-time, professional University Representative supervise and assist with training for the RiverHawk Ambassador program of approximately 50 volunteer student ambassadors that host campus tours on NSU's campus.  Coordination will include all aspects of the visit program from the reservation process, coordination of academic appointments to the pre-tour presentation, tour, and follow up contact.  


Job Requirements

Successful candidates will have strong facilitation and presentation abilities, written communication, and professional email skills.  Candidates must be dependable, punctual, detail oriented, courteous, and adaptable. 

Upon selection, candidates must enroll in the Northeastern State University Graduate College - Higher Education Leadership program.
