Position Description

Wheaton College’s Center for Religious and Spiritual Life is seeking to hire a paid Interfaith Engagement Intern to support Wheaton’s efforts to actively foster a learning environment that promotes inclusion and diversity.

Wheaton’s Center for Religious and Spiritual Life (RSL) equips Wheaton students with the resources and opportunities to critically examine, deepen, and live out their values in a pluralistic world and to build and sustain community.

Responsibilities of the Interfaith Engagement Intern include, but are not limited to, the following: 
• Develop, execute, market and assess opportunities promoting vibrant multi/inter-faith dialogue.
• Develop, execute, market and assess observation of seasonal celebrations and high holy days on campus, and other new initiatives to encourage pluralistic engagement.
• Support coordination and outreach to the campus regarding annual faith-based celebrations and days of observance.


Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the major world religions (Abrahamic and non-Abrahamic).
• Demonstrated experience engaging with diverse religious communities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of standard office applications and presentation and assessment based programs (e.g. PowerPoint, Qualtrics, Google Forms, Survey Monkey).
