Cornell is seeking a qualified leader who aspires to oversee and advance the student conduct process in the role of Judicial Administrator (JA).
What you will do...
The JA is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the student conduct process based on the philosophies of restorative justice and inclusive excellence. The JA oversees the Office of the Judicial Administrator (OJA) in administering the application of the Campus Code of Conduct (Code), a campus policy governing community conduct in order to protect and promote the University community's pursuit of its educational goals. The JA is responsible for administering the student conduct process in a manner that ensures consistent and fair application of University policy and respectful treatment of all participants. The JA forges productive working partnerships with students, colleagues across the University, and the community at large to enhance overall student safety across the larger University community. The JA also serves as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for students. In this role, the JA receives incident reports, oversees sanctions compliance for student respondents found responsible for policy violation(s), and supports the University's Title IX compliance efforts.

Our preferred qualifications: Experience successfully navigating student conduct work in a complex decentralized university environment, with multiple campuses. Experience with evidentiary hearings and other adversarial and/or administrative proceedings. J.D., Ph.D. or Ed.D. is also preferred.

The Judicial Administrator shall be appointed by the President with the concurrence of the University Assembly. Pursuant to the code amendments regarding the terms and conditions of this position, the JA position is now being posted as a regular position without a term date.
