Position Description

The Logistics Coordinator is a member of the Office of Housing Administration team. In conjunction with the Director, Associate Directors, other managers, staff, and students, this position assists in carrying out the mission, vision, and values, of the Office of Housing Administration and is responsible for supporting and contributing to an atmosphere that facilitates respect, inclusivity, collaboration, and growth.

This position will be responsible for offering highly organized project management skills and will communicate clear timelines, strategies, and requirements for the ongoing operation of OHA. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for inventory management for the 100,000+ assets stored both on and off campus. This position will be the lead staff member responsible for the tracking all assets in the inventory management system and with a monthly report detailing the location, condition, and transition of all assets within the enterprise. In collaboration with campus partners, this position will assist in managing contracts and vendor relationships to ensure the highest quality experience for residents, guests, and students. This position will assist with access control and emergency management and will be skilled and knowledgeable about the campus requirements. 


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications 

Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Preferred Qualifications and Specialized Skills

Working knowledge of inventory management, process, requirements, and outcomes.
Understanding of facilities operations and housing operations.
Experience managing contracts and procuring assets.
Experience working within a higher education environment.
Organized and effective in managing multiple responsibilities at the same time.
Experience managing and supervising contracts, vendors, and skilled labor.
Experience with inventory management systems and processes.
