SIUE HR Position Title: Business/Administrative Associate, Operations Facilitator (9739)
Job Posting Description:
The Operation Facilitator (Business/Administrative Associate), is responsible for directing the flow of work in direct response to the events scheduled within the Morris University Center (MUC) and Student Success Center (SSC). The incumbent will manage the Production Services and Technical Services departments as well as coordinate work for the assigned Building Service Worker (BSW) staff. The Operation Facilitator will supervise event set-up and take down as well as manage staff to provide excellent customer service to all internal and external clients. Additional duties will include:
-Work with all event staff (Special Events Facilitators, Catering Director, Multimedia Supervisor/Technician and Student Building Managers) to ensure open communications for effective event management.
-Provide logistical support of the production of events occurring in the MUC & SSC.
-Assist in providing audio visual support and trouble-shooting in coordination with, or in the absence of, the Multimedia Supervisor/Technician and Technical Services student staff.
-Supervise event spaces to ensure safe, orderly, and clean facilities.
-Conduct periodic and frequent inventory audits to account for all equipment and assess inventory needs.
Further duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs and goals of the centers and departments. Due to the professional responsibilities of this position, weekend and evening hours may be assigned.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or a field related to the position.
2. Two (2) years of professional level accounting, managerial and/or business experience, one year of which was at an administrative level*
*Note Master's in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one year of work experience
-Evidenced experience and skills in event production, audio-visual services, and supervision.
-Excellent customer service skills and understanding of service oriented unit.
-Demonstrated experience and knowledge of accepted business practices and procedures, standard accounting procedure and basic knowledge of Macintosh and Windows operating systems with evidenced ability to train others.
