Position Description

Off-Campus Life is now accepting applications for a Program Coordinator position. The Program Coordinator is a dynamic position, providing professional development and hands-on experience in the areas of leadership, supervision, staff training and development, risk management, budgeting, and program coordination and development. This position provides leadership, direction, and coordination of programs and services offered by the office, and supervision for a graduate assistant and student staff at Off-Campus Life and RamRide.

Job Requirements

Required job qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling, Event Planning/Management or related field by start date
  • One (1) year experience working in a professional position doing programming or event management for students in higher education (two years of a 20 hour per week graduate assistantship experience can substitute for one-year full-time professional experience).
  • Demonstrated budget management experience
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff
  • Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date

Preferred job qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in workshop or classroom facilitation and/or training students and staff
  • Demonstrated experience working with crisis management
  • Demonstrate sound decision making, judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion and multiculturalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
  • Demonstrated experience with building community with students, university staff, and/or city representatives
  • Experience with volunteer management
  • Experience with research and assessment
  • Demonstrated understanding of the value of co-curricular learning experiences as it relates to student development
  • Demonstrated organizational, administrative and customer service skills
