Position Description

This position will work with high schools to identify and recruit high-level high school leaders into the Center for Ethical Leadership programs, primarily President's Leadership Council. This position will work with diverse populations of students and connect these students to dynamic leadership development opportunities through the Center for Ethical Leadership. Furthermore, this position will use social media, websites, and other forms of communication to highlight the Center's programs and leadership accomplishments of the students.   

- Network with high school leadership teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify the best leaders in every school in the state.
- Recruit these students to OSU through the PLC program and/or Leadership and Campus Life programs.
- Oversee the selection process, ensuring that we select the top student leaders.
- Assist students who do not get into PLC by guiding them to other leadership opportunities at OSU.
- Oversee and manage student leaders in holding an annual leadership conference for high school students.
- Produce communication pieces to support the Center for Ethical Leadership.
- Collaborate with other team members in the Center for Ethical Leadership
- Manage and oversee the usage of social media to recruit and publicize Center for Ethical Leadership programs and student accomplishments.
- Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communications, Leadership, Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related field.

At least one year of related experience.  Expertise in social media.

Preferred:

Experience working with high schools or recruiting leadership students.
