Job Description Summary

*This is a grant-funded position and is funded through September 30, 2021. Employment is contingent upon continued funding for this position.*

Bentley University has been awarded a $300,000 federal grant from the Department of Justice to strengthen efforts to prevent sexual assault, domestic violence and stalking among underrepresented groups. The grant will help Bentley establish new programs for populations who are often disproportionately affected by sexualized violence, as well as fund trainings in sexual violence prevention for Bentley staff and community partners.

Essential Duties
>    Serve as the point of contact for all grant-funded programs
>    Track and ensure compliance with the grant requirements
>    Coordinate sexual violence prevention trainings for students and key campus constituents
>    Attend new grantee orientation and five technical institutes as scheduled by the OVW
>    Assist with launching and facilitating the Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT), including planning meetings and maintaining meeting minutes
>    Serve on the CCRT
>    Support and co-advise a team of peer educators focused on sexual violence prevention and healthy relationships
>    Develop and implement programs regarding sexual violence, focusing on specialized populations
>    Maintain attendance records of student participation in required trainings and programs
>    Coordinate campaigns that focus on healthy gender expressions

Minimum Qualifications
>    Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience working in fields related to sexual violence prevention
>    Understanding of best practices for prevention training and managing the victim services and criminal process.
>    Project management and facilitation skills
>    Familiarity with applicable federal and state regulations and confidentiality limitations
>    Strong leadership and organizational skills
>    Engender a survivor-centered philosophy
>    Experience with grant-funded projects preferred
>    Experience working with students in higher education settings preferred

Work Environment
>    Typical office environment.
>    Requires frequent sitting and use of a computer and keyboard.
>    Ability to travel to various locations on campus to coordinate trainings for the university community.
>    Position may require lifting and transporting boxes containing educational materials.
