Position Description

The Residential Hall Coordinator participates as a member of the Residential Life staff, creates opportunities for student development through programming, and demonstrates a strong student focus with evening and weekend commitments. This position is responsible for the organization and leadership of the student development programs, supervision of student staff, and management of administrative operations of a residence hall. Furthermore, this person will assist with the day to day operations of housing processes.


Job Requirements

  • Formally responsible for making recommendations regarding policies associated with the job’s purpose and essential responsibilities.
  • Provide feedback and make recommendations regarding the development and enforcement of residential and university policies. Appoint judicial sanctions for residential students in violation of policies. Take an active role in the management of crisis situations as necessary. Day-to-day responsibilities and routine issues that arise within Potter Hall, Hilltop Apartments, and Ranch and Cove House.
  • Supervises 11 Resident Assistants, advises RHA executive board. This position manages one residence hall (Potter Hall), one apartment complex (Hilltop Apartments), and two houses (Ranch and Cove House) of approximately 570 residents in total.
  • Other duties as assigned.
