Position Description

Trinity University is a primarily undergraduate, residential, liberal arts institution of 2,400 students. Ranked #1 in the west by US News and World Report for over 25 years, the campus is on the near north side of San Antonio overlooking the downtown skyline, in a historic neighborhood, and is centrally-located within easy driving distance of Austin, the Texas Hill Country, Houston, and the Gulf of Mexico.

The Residential Life Coordinator’s primary responsibility is the supervision of approximately 15-20 paraprofessional student staff members.   This person will also be responsible for facilitating student development through educational programming and will manage four to seven residence halls housing approximately 500-750 students.

The Residential Life Coordinator will assist with central office responsibilities including student staff selection, staff training, room assignments, room reservation, room inventories, damage assessments, residence hall opening/closing, summer conferences, judicial proceedings, and other duties as assigned.  There will be some light physical responsibilities including touring residence halls, moving furniture, cleaning equipment, and assisting with summer conference participant check-out (collecting keys).

Residential Life Coordinators are required to be on call (remain accessible to campus) approximately every fourth week throughout the year and are required to live in residence hall apartments.  The Residential Life Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Residential Life. This position is a full-time, 12 month appointment.  The selected applicant must cooperate and collaborate with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality as well as comply with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
