Position Description

In conjunction with the Assistant Director, Center for Ethical Leadership, develop, implement, and oversee Camp Cowboy: 
-Scout and develop all campsites and activities 
-Select, train, and mentor the Camp Cowboy Director Board 
-Recruit, supervise and train Camp Cowboy Counselors and Wranglers 
-Create and implement risk and crisis management strategies for camp 
-Write leadership small group curriculum to help new students 
  develop as leaders at OSU 
-Serve as primary on-call first responder during all camp sessions 
-Oversee marketing, travel, and legal/risk issues for each session of camp and for the program overall 
-Set and manage departmental budget 
-Design and implement comprehensive assessment strategies and methods to link assessment to program marketing and implementation 
Leadership Programming:
-Oversee the development of non-credit leadership seminars within the Center for Ethical Leadership 
-Create opportunities for new students at OSU to become involved with leadership programming 
-Leverage social media and online tools to provide online training, community building, and create multi-channel conversations around leadership at OSU.     - Oversee appropriate websites and social media outlets
-Market the Center for Ethical Leadership and leadership offerings 
-Assist with Center programming and events including Conclave and iLEAD 
-Develop assessment plans for leadership programs and seminars 
-Mentor students throughout their time at OSU  
-Work with the Center for Ethical Leadership to develop other Leadership offerings.
-Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of other programs as assigned.

Working outside in the summer. Occasional nights and weekends required.
This position will require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.


Job Requirements

Degree:                                     Masters  

Field of Study:                          Higher Education, Student Affairs, Leadership or related field  

Experience:                               Experience in student leadership/orientation/programming, experience mentoring and leading students.
