Position Description

As Student Engagement Program Coordinator, you will plan, develop, and facilitate events and programs that enhance engagement of students throughout their Honors College experience. Work will involve the creation and initiation of new programs targeted at upper division students and the monitoring and continual redesign of existing signature/all college events to match the evolving needs of upper division students. A secondary purpose is to collaborate with/assist the Student Leadership and Engagement Manager in idea generation, coordination, and facilitation of all other events and programs offered by the Student Life unit. All activities of focus are those internal to the Honors College wherein Honors students are the target audience.


Job Requirements

Required:

Bachelor's degree.
Two years' experience in event and program planning, development and implementation. 
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Skilled in developing marketing materials and in dispersing information via multiple social media platforms.
Adaptable and flexible to changing environment.
Valid US or Canadian Driver's license.

 

Preferred:

Experience in working with upper division undergraduate students.

 

Additional Information:

 

This position requires the ability to work some evenings and weekends based on business need.
Purdue will not sponsor an employment authorization for this position.
A Background Check will be required for employment in this position.
FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible for Overtime)
Retirement Eligibility: Defined Contribution Waiting Period.
