Position Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Support the development of a unified campus-wide programming model that crosses departments and encourages staff and faculty interaction with students using programming as a tool
  • Coordinate Intramural and Recreational activities
  • Manage daily Student Center operations
  • Focus on offering signature programs paying particular attention to robust (shared) programming in the first six weeks
  • With support from the Assistant Dean of Students - recruit, train and supervise the Marymount Student Government Association (MSGA)
  • Support all student organizations and work closely with Executive Board’s throughout the school year
  • Design and conduct weekly training for MSGA to ensure their leadership development
  • Coordinate annual MSGA events with the help of the Event Planning Committee

 

Marginal Job Functions

  • After Orientation, switch focus to providing dynamic programming initiatives for the remainder of the semester
  • Design and purchase all SWAG (stuff we all get) for the new year
  • Contribute to midterm and finals study break programming
  • Manage marketing efforts for Student Life programs and those campus departments that request marketing help in a timeframe that meets established policies
  • Support weekend programs
  • Help maintain traditions of Involvement Fair, Canyon Verde, Blood Drive, student leadership summit, Thanksgiving Luncheon, Food Drive, Student Awards, and Celebratory Toast
