Position Description

Vice Provost of Enrollment Management


The Vice Provost of Enrollment Management plays a critical role in developing, coordinating, implementing, communicating and evaluating the College's strategic enrollment management (SEM) plan and strategic enrollment initiatives around recruitment, enrollment, retention and completion. The Vice Provost will develop and establish a collective vision and direction of the offices within enrollment services including but not limited to recruitment, admissions, advising, registration, and financial aid. The Vice Provost will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and other administrative leaders to develop and achieve the College's strategic enrollment goals.


As a visible leader of the College, the Vice Provost will demonstrate exemplary integrity, serving as a role model in exuding trust and transparency and maintaining the highest of professional standards. The Vice Provost will have a tremendous opportunity to make a significant impact on the College by establishing a data-driven enrollment strategy and expanding the College's educational opportunities within Minnesota and beyond. The Vice Provost will create and develop an enrollment team of professionals and incorporate best practices through the use of data analytics to provide leadership for the persistence and completion of the student.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years' of progressive leadership in recruitment, retention, and completion management related work in higher education.
  • Three (3) years' direct supervision of professional staff with a demonstrated commitment of professional development of self and staff.
  • Demonstrate evidence-based success in full-life cycle student enrollment management and analytical decision-making in a higher education setting.
  • Experience in the analytics of enrollment management modeling, statistical reporting, and tracking.
  • Demonstrated record of success in growing enrollments.
  • Significant breadth and depth of experience as an enrollment management strategist and leader.
  • Ability to mentor and develop a high performing enrollment management team.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Authentic personal alignment with and commitment to the college's mission, vision and values.
  • Ability to be an impactful partner with the President, Provost, executive leadership team, and other college and system-wide leaders.
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and supporting students in a culturally diverse higher education stetting.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to student success, quality service, inclusiveness, collaboration and ensuring the optical student experience.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Doctorate or other terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Seven (7) years' of progressive leadership in recruitment, retention, and completion management related work in higher education.
  • Five (5) years' direct supervision of professional staff with a demonstrated commitment of professional development of self and staff.
  • Leadership experience at an institution or district with collective bargaining units
  • Knowledge of national issues and best practices in higher education, including the scope and comprehensiveness of enrollment services.
  • Practical experience and knowledge of current enrollment management processes, with a particular emphasis on enrollment growth for a multi-campus institution.
